What Is the Good Vibes Comedy Festival?

Founded by Memphis's own Nathan Jaxon and John Andrew Miller, the Good Vibes Comedy Festival is the city's premier stand-up comedy event, a celebration built from the ground up to spotlight local talent while bringing nationally recognized headliners to our backyard. This year's lineup features 32+ comics across two rooms, so there's truly something for everyone.

What to Expect

This isn't your average comedy night. Across the three-day weekend, the festival is packed with stand-up sets, live podcasts, roast battles, and themed shows that keep the energy fresh from doors-open to last call. A few highlights to keep on your radar:

Women of Comedy — Opening Night features a dedicated showcase putting Memphis's funniest women front and center. It's the kind of show that sets the tone for the entire weekend.

Next Top Comic — A competitive showcase where rising comics put everything on the line for a shot at recognition. If you love discovering new talent before they blow up, this is your show.

The Headliners

Jordan Rock — If the last name sounds familiar, it should. Chris Rock's younger brother has carved out his own lane with a role on Judd Apatow's Netflix series Love, a standout turn alongside Pete Davidson in the Sundance hit Big Time Adolescence, and a "New Face to Watch" nod from Just For Laughs Montreal.

Malik B. — Part comedian, part actor, and a part former boxer. Malik Bazille's was discovered by Michael B. Jordan in a boxing gym, which landed him a role in Creed, but comedy is where he lives now. He's a regular at the Comedy Store and Laugh Factory, has opened for David Spade and Jeff Garlin, and has specials streaming on both Amazon and Hulu. You've probably already seen his viral character sketches all over your feed.

Steven Briggs — This LA-based comic is known for blending stand-up with beatboxing and spot-on sound effects for a show that's completely his own. He's been featured on TruTV's Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks and Hulu's Coming to the Stage, and has performed five overseas tours entertaining U.S. military personnel around the world.

Dante Chang — Billed as "The Black Asian," Dante brings a one-of-a-kind perspective shaped by his Asian heritage and urban D.C. upbringing. He's a regular on the Laugh Factory and Improv circuit and one of the fastest-rising comics coming out of LA right now. Don't sleep on this set.
