Sip Into Fall: Autumnal Drinks to Try at Memphis Coffee Shops

Fall flavors go beyond pumpkin spice at these Memphis cafés, where seasonal specialties bring a warm twist to your favorite coffee cup. From spiced apple lattes to maple cold foam, here’s where to sip the best of autumn.

What is the official Fall flavor? My mind immediately takes me to the warm and fuzzy flavors, like pumpkin and spice, but different cafes around Memphis opened my eyes to a whole new world of Fall flavors.

Here are a few Coffee shops you can go to, to quench your Fall cravings.

Belltower Coffeehouse & Studio made a space to create your perfect coffee cup while sipping on your favorite fall flavors. Here is a list of their fall specials: apple chai-der, pumpkin spice, spicy mocha, and a maple bourbon.

What I Ordered: The name Apple Chai-Der stuck out to me the most. It had: chai, apple cider, vanilla and cinnamon, it was a really nice spin on a fall classic.

The Hub wants you to “experience the difference” of their freshly brewed coffee, a comfortable workspace, and a fall ambience. Their “Fall at the Hub” menu consists of: pumpkin float, spiced apple chai, maple latte, and a pumpkin spice latte.

What I Ordered: The Iced Pumpkin Float was calling my name and I am so glad I listened. If you love pumpkin flavor and cold foam, this is the drink order for you.

Team Car Cafe

8100 Macon Station #101

Team Car Cafe bridges the world of bike lovers and the coffee lovers. The bike shop offers their Autumn list: pottsfield, harvest moon, cuffed flannel and fall’s flabbergast.

What I Ordered: How could I possibly turn down flannel in the fall? The Cuffed Flannel is a spiced apple latte with a smokey twist and the taste definitely lived up to its name.

17 Berkshire is a tea, coffee, and bakery shop located in Overton Square. On their seasonal menu, they have: golden chai latte, fall harvest latte, apple chaider, and pistachio baklava and they encourage customers to taste their maple cold foam as an add-on to any fall drink.

What I Ordered: And of course, I was encouraged… so I ordered a hot Fall Harvest Latte with the maple cold foam, and the maple was the cherry on top.

My Cup of Tea

3028 Canes Ave.

Although My Cup of Tea isn't a tea shop you can order a drink from, the tea experience was just as sweet. They offer a wide, complex, and creative variety of tea blends to suit every tea drinker's taste buds… they even have seasonal holiday mixes.

What I Ordered: Their Orange Mound Peach is one of their bestsellers, but I ended up grabbing their latest artist collaboration tea, Roots and Reflections. It's a blend of apples, hibiscus, almond, lavender, and strawberry yogurt pieces.

It’s safe to say Memphis expanded my palette again. There are so many fall favorites and each mix encompasses the feeling that fall brings to me, comfort. Now I can’t wait to taste the flavors of winter.
