The Ed Murphey Classic returns to Memphis July 10–11 for its 10th anniversary, and it's bigger than ever.
Over 160 professional track & field athletes — including 70+ Olympians, World Champions, and record holders from more than 30 countries — will compete across two days and two completely different vibes: a world-class meet at the University of Memphis on Friday, and a free, festival-style takeover of Beale Street on Saturday featuring Olympic shot put champion Ryan Crouser, elite pole vaulters, and a 1-mile race through the heart of downtown. Whether you're courtside for the competition or lacing up for the Murphey Mile, this is Memphis hosting the world — with proceeds fueling free coaching and clinics for local youth through the Murphey Track Club.
