901 Stories: Down on Beale

Tennessee Ballet Theater is proud to present, 901 Stories: Down on Beale, coming to the historic New Daisy Theater, 330 Beale Street, on June 5 and 6. The doors open at 6pm for cash bar and mingling, with the show beginning at 6:30pm. Ticket price is $35 and net proceeds benefit the Frayser Dance Project. The Frayser Dance Project located at Girls Inc, is sponsored by Alliance Healthcare and Legacy of Legends.  There is also an option for the VIP Balcony Party to socialize, meet the dancers and  singer, Kortland Whalum. The VIP lounge starts at 5:30pm, ticket is $50, and includes champagne and light hors d’oeuvres. Paid parking and garage are located behind the New Daisy.

“We invite you to be moved by the sounds of Memphis and dance with us,” said Director of Show Ashley Hannah Davis. “With so many hits, both heart breaking and full of joy to choose from, this is a party you can’t afford to miss!”

With choreography by local artists like Camilla Curran, JD Bryant, Alyssa Abbas, Steven Prince Tate, and Max Robinson set to music by renowned Memphis made musicians like Alex Chilton, Furry Lewis, and Al Green, guests will be moved by the Bluff City Blues. The show will really heat up with a live appearance by local legend Kortland Whalum.

“Proceeds from the event will benefit the crucial work of the Frayser Dance Project,” said choreographer Camilla Curran. “Supported by the Tennessee Ballet Theater, they are changing lives by providing free dance education, performances, and apparel in the Frayser community.”
