Description:
Join Protect Our Aquifer on Thursday, December 4th for our next Aquifer Action Meeting—a community-centered gathering to build clarity, confidence, and collective power ahead of the December 11th Shelby County Groundwater Board meeting. We’ll break down the Board’s agenda in clear, accessible language, including officer nominations, new bylaws, regulatory discussions, and several well-permit appeals that will shape how our groundwater is protected, monitored, and governed. These decisions also influence the broader landscape of industrial pressure on the Memphis Sand Aquifer, making community involvement essential. Attendees will gain tools to prepare public comments, understand well regulations, and help strengthen transparent, accountable stewardship of our drinking water. Dinner is provided, and all are welcome—whether you’re brand-new to aquifer advocacy or a returning attendee.
