Description:

Hattiloo Theatre invites you to our first play of our milestone 20th season: Speak, Salvation, Speak, written by Ekundayo Bandele!
Production runs from August 13 – September 6, 2026

Speak, Salvation, Speak is a gripping family drama where faith is not just what you believe, it is what you inherit. Paul is a devoted Pentecostal husband and father. His son, Ohun, has chosen a different spiritual path, one rooted in ancestral tradition. Caught between them is Mae, the mother and quiet center of the home, holding love in one hand and worry in the other as the family strains under what cannot be said out loud.

Once a year, Paul and Ohun are each pulled into the same strange dream. It is not a clear message, and it never explains itself. It leaves them with fragments, a feeling, and the sense that something unfinished is still reaching for their family.

Starring Harry Lennix (The Blacklist, The Matrix sequels, The Five Heartbeats, Man of Steel), the play builds toward a reckoning where devotion, legacy, and survival collide, and where saving someone you love may require more than one kind of faith.
