Start the month with energy and healthy competition. This pickleball night brings people together for a fun evening of open play while supporting Volunteer Odyssey. Grab some friends, hit the court, and give back while you play.

Lichterman Nature Center Plant Sale

Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 | Multiple Shifts Available (Here and Here)

Spring’s busiest plant sale calls for extra hands. Volunteers assist with everything from organizing inventory to helping shoppers load their finds, all while supporting one of Memphis’ most beloved green spaces. Expect a fast-paced, outdoor environment and plenty of fresh air.

Girls Inc. Volunteer Training

Saturday, April 11 | 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Interested in mentoring and making a lasting impact? This training session equips new volunteers with the tools, expectations, and insight needed to support Girls Inc. programming. It’s the starting point for anyone looking to invest in the next generation of leaders.

Energy, excitement, and purpose come together at this community-wide celebration of inclusion. Volunteers help manage activities, welcome participants, and create a supportive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Agape Kids Classic Golf Tournament

From the first tee time to the final wrap-up, volunteers play a key role in keeping this tournament running smoothly. Tasks range from greeting guests to assisting with meals, all in support of programs that serve children and families across Memphis.

Ushering for Julius Caesar at Germantown Community Theatre

Take part in the live theater experience from behind the scenes at Germantown Community Theatre. Volunteers greet guests, guide seating, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for audiences enjoying the classic production of Julius Caesar.

Blooming in Binghampton

This inaugural event for Carpenter Art Garden brings together art, conversation, and community engagement. Volunteers are needed to help facilitate a full day of programming that explores topics like mental health, environmental justice, and creative expression.

BLOOM Weekend at MBG: 'Gabby's Garden Friends'

Families will fill Memphis Botanic Garden for a weekend of interactive activities, and volunteers can help guide the experience. From assisting with stations to directing guests, the role keeps you moving and engaged throughout the event.

Agape Fest

This celebration is rooted in community connection, and volunteers help create a welcoming environment for everyone who attends. From greeting guests to supporting activities, each role contributes to the overall experience.

Earth Day on the Wolf River Greenway

Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 | 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Volunteers work together to remove litter, restore trails, and improve access along the greenway. Whether staying on land or getting out on the water, participants help protect one of Memphis’ most important natural resources.

World of Plants at MBG

Monday, April 27 through Thursday, April 30 | 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Students explore how plants shape cultures around the world, with volunteers helping guide activities. This is an interactive, educational experience that blends learning with hands-on discovery.

VOLUNcheers! With The Sow Project

Tuesday, April 28  |  5:30 to 7:00 p.m. 

Our monthly happy hour with a purpose. Meet new friends, enjoy a drink, and give back to a local nonprofit. This month, we’re supporting The SOW Project by helping prep materials for their culinary workforce training program. AND! They’re making the snacks! You don’t want to miss this one.
