Serving Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner at Room In the Inn
Daily in June | Multiple Shifts Available (Brunch, Lunch and Dinner)
Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can offer is showing up. Volunteers at Room In The Inn help prepare and serve meals while creating a welcoming environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Every effort helps make guests feel seen, respected, and cared for. If the dads in your life taught you the importance of generosity, this is a meaningful way to carry that lesson forward.
Shower Support Team: Make Every Guest Feel Welcome
Tuesdays in June | 8 to 10 a.m.
Small acts can make a big difference. Volunteers with Catholic Charities of West Tennessee support guests by helping keep shower facilities clean, restocking supplies, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This opportunity centers around dignity, care, and compassion. Even a couple of hours can help someone feel more comfortable and supported.
Play-and-Learn at the Botanic Garden
Saturdays in June | 10:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Summer and childhood curiosity go hand in hand. At Memphis Botanic Garden, volunteers help run hands-on discovery stations where children and families explore the natural world through planting activities, crafts, and interactive lessons. Volunteers help guide activities and encourage curiosity, making this a fun option for anyone who enjoys working with kids.
Memphis Rox Garden Day
Saturdays in June | 9 to 11 a.m.
Nothing says summer quite like getting your hands in the dirt. Volunteers at Memphis Rox help clean up gardens, assemble beds, and prepare growing spaces for the season ahead. Bring your dad, your kids, or a friend and spend a Saturday morning outside doing something productive together. The work is simple, the impact is real, and there’s something deeply satisfying about seeing progress happen right in front of you.
Girls Inc. Farm Day
Saturday, June 6 | 8 to 11 a.m.
At the Girls Inc. Youth Farm, volunteers help prepare gardens by weeding, planting, spreading compost and mulch around fruit trees and green spaces that support fresh food access in the community. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just willing to pitch in, Farm Day offers a rewarding way to spend time outdoors while supporting an organization helping girls grow strong, smart, and bold.
Rugby Field Grand Opening
Friday, June 26 | Multiple Shifts Available
Big community moments don’t happen without helping hands. Memphis Inner City Rugby is celebrating the grand opening of its new rugby field, and volunteers are needed to help make the day memorable. From assisting with setup and greeting guests to helping run family activities, there are opportunities for everyone to jump in.
