For every area of interest and every amount of time available, there’s a nonprofit that needs you. Here are ten ways to love Memphis this month.

Arrow Creative Summer Camp 2023, June 5th-June 30th from 9:00am to 12:00pm, 1:00 to 4:00
Arrow Creative is looking for volunteers to assist with their camps this summer. Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in a classroom environment while helping kids grades 3rd - 8th create cool art! Camp subjects range from ceramics, to painting, to sewing, and more. Each camp session is 5-days long and is either in the morning (9am - 12pm) or afternoon (1pm - 4pm). Volunteers do not need to have experience in their camp's subject matter, they only need to be enthusiastic and willing to help out!

Overton Park Shell, Puppy Bar Barktender, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from June 1st-30th from 5:30pm to 10:00pm
Join folks at the Overton Park Shell for a free concert series sponsored by Orion. Come out and enjoy good music, good food, and community. The Puppy Bar is the social spot on the lawn for pups and their humans! Barktenders provide our pet friends with water, treats, and more.

Wolf River Conservancy, Discover the Greenway 5K, June 10th from 6:30am to 9:30am with varying shifts
Join Wolf River Conservancy for a fun-filled, scavenger hunt while discovering destinations on the Wolf River Greenway throughout Memphis. Volunteers are needed to assist with race registration & packet pick-up, water stops, course monitoring, and water distribution at the Finish Line.

Room In The Inn, Serving with Smiles-Dinner Shift, Daily starting on June 1st from 5:30pm to 7:00pm
Come help kitchen staff serve meals to campus guests daily for either lunch or dinner! No experience necessary, just a smile and willingness.

Memphis Botanic Garden, Groovy Garden Party, June 16th from 6:00 to 10:00pm
Join us for an evening of botanically inspired adult beverages, food, music and more! Volunteers will assist with keeping tables clean and clear, assisting with food, and helping create a fun and entertaining environment! Must be 21 and up.

Protect our Aquifer, Juneteenth Festival, Sunday June 18th, 9:30am to 12:30pm, 12:00pm to 3:30pm
Protect Our Aquifer will be celebrating Juneteenth at the Juneteenth festival while educating festival goers about the aquifer and issues surrounding our water. Volunteer with their team and help manage their table and booth.

Catholic Charities of West Tennessee, Community Garden and Urban Greenspace, Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 1st to June 29th, from 9:45am to 11:45am
Volunteer in Catholic Charities of West Tennessee’s Community Garden and Green Space! They need help weeding, watering, pruning and eventually harvesting in their garden and green space. Come dressed to work in the outdoors and in a garden!

MENTOR Memphis Grizzlies, Virtual New Mentor Training, June 22nd from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
MENTOR Memphis Grizzlies' Training Institute provides best-in-class training to mentors and mentor programs so that they are equipped to improve student outcomes. This new mentor training starts the process to prepare mentors with the needed tools and skills to mentor and work with the youth within our youth mentoring network. This training is open to anyone interested in becoming a volunteer youth mentor. After completing training, MENTOR Memphis Grizzlies will connect you to a quality youth mentoring program.

For the Kingdom, Campus Clean up, June 8th & 22nd from 2:00pm to 5:00pm
For The Kingdom operates on a 100 acre campus where they host community events, school partners, and student camps and retreats. They are open year round and their campus endures a great deal of foot traffic. As a campus clean up volunteer you would be helping keep their campus beautiful by picking up up trash, organizing outdoor spaces, and cleaning off patios and porches. Join them in keeping FTK clean

Memphis Rox Climbing + Community, Soulsville Community Closet, Tuesdays from June 6th-27th from 10:00am-1:00pm
Memphis Rox is asking for volunteers to help assist with the operations of their Soulsville Community Closet. The closet is open one day a week, Tuesdays from 10am-1pm, and offers all products up to 50% off retail price. They ask that volunteers come help assist customers with their shopping needs such as assistance with carrying or bagging purchased products.

We could use some morning volunteers 7-9am any one of 7 mornings a week, caring for the kitties and cleaning the store, learning medications, leading a crew, all things you learn as well as how to take care of your own kitty inexpensively, learning to notice troubling signs of possible illness, etc.
