21st Annual Tree Planting With Wolf River Conservancy
Saturday, March 7 | 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Wolf River Conservancy’s 21st Annual Tree Planting invites volunteers of all ages to help plant more than 1,500 native trees within the Wolf River watershed. These trees will improve air and water quality, provide wildlife habitat, and cool surrounding neighborhoods for years to come. Volunteers will learn proper planting techniques while contributing to one of Memphis’ most impactful environmental restoration efforts. Expect a little dirt and a lot of satisfaction.
Congregational Shelter Registration and Pick Up Volunteers
Daily in March | 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
As winter winds down, the need for shelter and compassion remains. Volunteers are needed each evening to help Room in the Inn with registration and congregational pick-up for guests staying at the downtown shelter location. This role is about presence as much as process — welcoming guests, assisting with check-in, and offering a calm, caring environment at the end of the day.
Grind City Coffee Xpo
Saturday, March 14 | Multiple Shifts Available
Coffee lovers, this one’s for you. Volunteers are needed to support the annual Grind City Coffee Xpo, a celebration of Memphis’ vibrant coffee community. From assisting vendors to helping with event flow, volunteers play a key role in bringing the Xpo to life. Proceeds from the event benefit Protect Our Aquifer, offering a chance to support both small businesses and environmental sustainability.
Mobile Food Pantry
Select Days in March | 8:45 to 11:00 a.m.
This direct-service opportunity with Catholic Charities of West Tennessee helps get food into the hands of families who need it most. Volunteers assist with checking in participants, loading food boxes into cars, and directing traffic during outdoor distributions. The work is hands-on and fast-paced, but incredibly rewarding. If you’re looking for a tangible way to address food insecurity in Memphis, this is a powerful place to start.
Uncle Jumbo school matinee @ GPAC
Thursday, March 12 | 8:45 to 11:30 a.m.
We’re looking for friendly volunteers to usher and direct guests at this uplifting 60-minute morning performance by Grammy-nominated artist Uncle Jumbo. His high-energy concert blends positivity, movement, and music that inspires young audiences to dream big. Germantown Performing Arts Center Volunteers play an important role in creating a smooth, welcoming experience for families attending the show.
Spring Festival of Flowers at MBG
Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27 | 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
During the Spring Festival of Flowers, volunteers assist elementary school students with hands-on activities like planting, flower crafts, and seasonal science lessons. This is a joyful opportunity to support environmental education while helping kids experience Memphis Botanic Garden in full bloom. If you enjoy working with children and being surrounded by flowers, this is a perfect way to spend a spring morning.
Easter Hop and Shop 2026
Saturday, March 28, 2026 | Multiple Shifts Available
This family-friendly festival brings together local vendors, food trucks, music, and classic Easter fun along the trails. Volunteers help with everything from crafts and line control to guiding the Easter Bunny and monitoring activity areas.
