Help bring the gift of JOY to children of Youth Villages this Holiday Season by volunteering in our Holiday Heroes Santa's Workshop! Our Holiday Heroes generously donate and/or shop for our youth to fulfill their holiday wish lists. Santa's Workshop volunteers, that's you, will help us receive, wrap, and sort these gifts to ensure they go to the right youth for the holidays!

3. Protect Our Aquifer (POA), WYXR Raised by Sound Fest

5. Page Robbins Adult Day Center, Volunteer Orientation
Tuesday, December 12
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Page Robbins Adult Day Center provides unique and uplifting daytime care for adults with memory loss, in a safe environment, while empowering and educating their caregivers and the community.
At our volunteer orientation session you will learn more about Page Robbins and the exciting opportunities available to you as a volunteer. You will be able to take a tour, ask questions, and tell us more about you so that you can be best matched with roles that fit your interests.

6. Catholic Charities of West Tennessee, Mobile Food Pantry at St. Paul’s Catholic Church

8:45 am – 11:00 am
Join us in this fun direct service event that helps those in need in our community!
Volunteer roles include collecting data, loading food boxes into cars, and directing traffic. This entire shift takes place out of doors! We ask volunteers to dress comfortably and for the weather.

7. Samaritan’s Feet, Shoe Distribution with Las Americas

8:30 am – 12:00 pm
Since 2010, cityCURRENT has hosted Samaritan’s Feet Shoe Distributions each year, and they have become a tradition and favorite for our volunteers. Through a simple act of humility and servant-leadership, we’re able to express our love, compassion, and a message that brings hope to our children.
During this event, we will provide new athletic shoes and socks to children in the community while sharing words of hope and encouragement.

10. Youth Villages, Closet Organization

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Youth Villages partners, U of M: Roaring for the Youth, have done a great job getting our closet organization started, but we need your help to see it through. If you are looking for a helpful way to volunteer your time, consider this! We meet every other Thursday to intake, organize and store clothing so that our youth and staff are able to use the closet efficiently.

We could use some morning volunteers 7-9am any one of 7 mornings a week, caring for the kitties and cleaning the store, learning medications, leading a crew, all things you learn as well as how to take care of your own kitty inexpensively, learning to notice troubling signs of possible illness, etc.
