Whether you're near the riverfront, in the heart of Midtown, or anywhere in between, Memphis has a variety of outdoor workout and yoga classes to fit your style. From free sessions to those with a small fee, there’s something for everyone! Grab your mat, lace up your sneakers, and find the perfect spot to sweat it out in Memphis! Keep reading for a list of the best outdoor classes by location.

Overton Park Shell

Yoga, Zumba, Pilates? You name it, they got it. The iconic music venue partnered up with Baptist Memorial Health Care and several local  businesses to get our community up and moving in the great outdoors. They update their page regularly, so check back often for more classes.

River Garden

Get acquainted with instructor Candace for this free yoga series every Tuesday by the river! Don't forget your mat/towel and water.

Medical District Park

Namaste in the Medical District! No need to go far to fit a workout in. Just walk, bike, or Groove on over to Medical District Park (formerly Health Sciences Park) for a free yoga class with Camille Potter every Wednesday evening in April, May, & June. Don’t forget  your water bottle and mat. Registration is required and space is limited.

Shelby Farms Park

Get Outside! Fitness Programs at Shelby Farms Park offer a chance for the whole family to get fit, stay active and enjoy being in nature! Beginners are welcome! Classes are free, but registration is required. 2025 class lineup coming soon! 

Tom Lee Park

Kick off your week with a stretch, a smile and some riverfront vibes! Join instructor Bridget for free Pilates classes on Mondays under the Sunset Canopy at Tom Lee Park. Don’t forget to bring your mat/towel, water and an open mind—they’ll take care of the good vibes.

Step up your fitness game at free Step Aerobics classes with instructor Ayanna! Join us on the first Wednesday of each month, March through October. Borrow a stepper from us (first come, first served), bring your own or freestyle it without one—everyone is welcome! Don’t forget to bring water and get ready to break a sweat while busting some hip-hop-inspired moves.

Wiseacre Brewing Co.

Wiseacre has partnered with local fitness groups to help you achieve your fitness goalsYou can try a new class and meet new people almost every Saturday! The best part? These classes are FREE and beginner friendly! All classes are hosted at the  Downtown location! 

Memphis Parks and Community Centers

Memphis Parks offers a variety of events and fitness classes for all ages! They include dance cardio, body bootcamp, Senior water aerobics, and more.

Goat Yoga

Goat Yoga is where you can relax your body and mind while surrounded by little goats. It’s a kind of a “go with the flow” yoga session where it’s a little bit of exercise and a lot of fun! Some goats will even jump up on you while doing yoga poses! But don’t worry, the goats are lightweight and very friendly.  You’ll be sure to have a lot of laughs and leave feeling relaxed and entertained. Tickets are $25

Fit4Mom Classes

Mama, let’s get moving! Join in on a mommy and me class (Stroller Strides), run club, or Stroller Barre classes. Each program offers a free trial to see which fits you best.

Downtown Yoga

Enjoy the art of yoga at various locations with Downtown Yoga. They have classes at the the Hu Hotel Rooftop, Fourth Bluff Park, and Greenbelt Park!
