All the places that offer student discounts. Outdoor opportunities in the city and within a 100-mile radius. Not to drive on Poplar.

Late night cheese fries at Hueys with your buddies is the perfect study break. Also, get familiar with the Grizzlies schedule, especially the weekday games. You can usually get in for a somewhat cheap price during the week, especially if the opponent isn't LAL or GSW.

If art student at U of M, find an affordable place to PAY for parking. Maybe changed since I was there but the campus parking is difficult and time consuming to find. If you can find a lot near the art building, you’ll save a lot of time and shorter distance to haul ur supplies

Definitely all the discounts you get with your student id. Even to the Orpheum. I don’t junk I found out about perks til later in college.

Take an easier load the first semester while you adjust to college life. Don’t schedule early classes either the 1st semester unless you are seriously a morning person. Basically, ease into it all so your GPA doesn’t take a hit and so you aren’t overwhelmed out of the gate.

Map out classes at u of m. Running from one end of campus to the other when there’s only 10 minutes between classes is the worst.

How much easier parking at UofM becomes when you have a bike rack. Allows you to park several blocks away and ride to campus.
