Memphis Fashion Week kicks off Thursday, and as one of the city's most anticipated annual events, it's good to know what to expect, and more importantly, what to wear.
The cool thing about MFW is that not only do you get to support the designers and take in their new collections, but it's prime time for people watching and really having fun with your personal style. Attendees can also wear whatever they want, so whether you're someone that lives on the proverbial catwalk or like to play it safe (still keep it cute), you're sure to have a ball with all of the sartorial fun.
The weather is expected to be nice (hello Spring!), and there are a few tried and true trends to look out for when you're picking out your outfits. I teamed up with some of my favorite local Memphis bloggers + The Shops of Saddle Creek to highlight some cute outfit options if you're still trying to figure out what to wear.
1. Build your base in black.
It's classic, chic and goes with everything. Focus on the details by pairing classic culottes with a blush tone blouse + a snakeskin clutch, or if you're a mommy to be, zhoosh up your favorite LBD (little black dress) with some fun heels and accessories.
2. Jumpsuits + rompers are always fun and flirty.
One of of the EASIEST pieces that you can invest in for events like MFW is a jumpsuit or romper (I like to call them a one and done pieces). Whether it's a classic polka-dot option or you go a little more trendy with denim, wear them alone, or with your favorite blazers and fun accessories.
3. A pop of color will always make you stand out.
It IS Spring, so don't be afraid to rock a cute dress in a bright, fun hue like yellow.

4. Pile on the jewelry
Layered necklaces will always be in style, so pile them on with a low cut blouse to really make a statement with your look.

Whatever you choose to wear during Memphis Fashion Week, you won't go wrong. Just remember to be yourself and have fun with it!
