Hop On The Record Store Ride For Memphis Record Store Day

Hop On The Record Store Ride For Memphis Record Store Day

I think that tomorrow, April 13th, 2019 might be the best Record Store Day Memphis has had yet.

Shangri La Records will have discounts starting at 9 a.m., and live music from Mark Edgar Stuart at 1 p.m. Goner Records will have discounts and DJs all day starting at 10 a.m. They'll also host the first Memphis Record Store Ride shuttle from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., which takes you to three record shops and later, two breweries. It's all free to attend.

Is it going to rain? Probably. Do you melt when it rains or something? Come on! Grab a coat and get out and enjoy this year's brand-new Record Store Ride. Besides, most of this is inside...and you don't even have to drive.

Here's how it works.

Record Store Day is an international holiday, and it's all about supporting your local, in-person record stores and music shops. Whether you're a vinyl person or you just want to support local and enjoy all festivities, get out for Record Store Day 2019 in Memphis and the first-ever Memphis Record Ride!

Memphis Record Ride stops:
- Goner Records in Cooper Young
- Shangri-La Records on Madison (right down the street from Overton Crawfish Fest + Lucero Block Party)
- Memphis Music on Beale Street

And, in the afternoon, they're adding stops at:
- Memphis Made Brewing in Cooper Young (they have the lobster food truck on Saturday)
- Crosstown Brewing near the Concourse (live music from Turnstyles at 2 p.m.)
- Maybe some other bars in the area? it's all close by

And even later:

Railgarten is hosting a dance party called The Kick Back from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
