The Peabody Hotel released their 2017 rooftop party schedule today! Yay!

Peabody Rooftop Party 2014 2

The Peabody’s rooftop parties are staple of Memphis’ spring and summer social life, and have been since 1939. They’re hugely popular – the rooftop can hold hundreds of people, and it’s one of the best places to see the sunset over the Mississippi River. This is the 78th Year of the Peabody rooftop parties.

Here’s the music lineup:

April 20: Almost Famous

April 27: Star & Micey

May 4: Frankie Hollie & The Noise

May 11: Aquanet

May 18: Ghost Town Blues Band

May 25: Luke Wade

June 1: Voodoo Gumbo

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

Who are the performers? This is for a multicultural crowd right..

    • Holly Whitfield says:

      Hi Jackie,

It’s been a multicultural crowd every time I have gone. The bands are listed here, but you might have to do a little Googling to find out info about the individual performers.

we come to the rooftop party almost every Thursday! love it! just noticed that you list this week’s party as July 14(which is a Friday?) I did look at band(Waker) that was playing and their schedule says thurday July 13 at Peabody. so I guess it’s Thursday as usual? just trying to make sure because we bring a big group and drive about an hour to get there. could you let me know?

    • Holly Whitfield says:

Hi Bobby! I’m glad you love the Rooftop Party (I do too!) It is just Thursday as usual for the July 13th party – thanks for catching my typo 😉
