Joe Walsh Is Coming To Mud Island (Giveaway Ended)
I have good news...and I have great news. First, the good news.
On Saturday, August 13 - smack in the middle of Elvis Week - guitar legend and Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joe Walsh will perform at Mud Island Amphitheater as a part of his Joe Walsh Toor 2016 (yes, it's spelled like that on purpose).
Tickets range from $45 to $80, and JD and the Straight Shot will open the show. Ticketmaster lists the show time as 8 p.m. Get your tickets here.
OK, time for the great news: I have two pairs of tickets to give away to I Love Memphis blog readers!
How to win: Leave a comment on this blog post telling why you want to go. I'll do a random drawing on Monday, July 25 at 10 a.m., so be sure to check your email at that time.

How exciting! After spending the last two+ years caring in-home for an 84 yr old mom with Dementia,

Have always loved the Eagles, and Joe quite often stole the show. Then during the "14 year vacation" I saw Joe and Glenn Frey (RIP) many years ago at Mud Island Amphitheater. Was a fun, very crazy show, and I was hooked! Went out and bought "Look What I Did" and found out what I'd been missing all those years! Would LOVE to go back to Mud Island to experience Joe's "Toor". Thanks!!

Hi, I'm a giant Eagles fan, and Joe often stole the show. But i really became hooked after I saw Joe and Glenn Frey (RIP) perform together at Mud Island Ampitheater during "the fourteen year vacation". It was a crazy, fun show, and I immediately went out and bought Joe's "Look What I Did" compilation CD...and boy, had I been missing some great stuff! Love Joe and can't wait to see him back at the Ampitheater again!!! Thanks for the chance to win the tickets!

1. HUGE fan of Joe. Never seen him live.

I've been listening to Joe Walsh since I was a kid when my dad would drive me & my brothers to school in the morning. His voice is one of those that's a little odd.. and you can't get enough of it. Plus, he's just a cool dude. Always was my favorite Eagle.. And the connection to Paul McCartney is pretty sweet, too. It would be amazing to win tickets and take my dad to see Joe!

At this point, attending concerts is definitely my hobby. I've seen 120 acts perform in the past 5 years or so (BSMF has helped inflate this number quite a bit lol) and taken pictures and video for my new webpage for my hobby located at bigconcertfan.com. Of course we had the Eagles greatest hits Lp growing up but I haven't seen any of them perform live. I would love to see Joe Walsh.

I will be turning 50 August 18th. My husband and I have been in awe of Joe for decades. We made suite to watch him on tv when he went to Daryl's house.
