Fun facts about tourism: 10 million people visit Memphis every year from all over the world, and tourism has about a $3 billion economic impact. To celebrate, next week is National Travel and Tourism Week, and the Memphis CVB is celebrating by throwing a big Party In The Park. You're invited! Yes those are rubber duckies in the fountain! Memphis' favorite organizations and attractions will take over Court Square downtown on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We're gonna fill it up with booths, activities, entertainment and food trucks. The Party In The Park has been super fun the past two years. It's basically a pop-up Memphis vacation - a sampling of uniquely Memphis people and things all in one place on one day. Check out the photos from 2015 right here. This year, come by for lunch and fun. Here are some of the things we'll have at Party In The Park this year: - Fuel, Fresh Gulf Shrimp, Stick 'Em, Central BBQ, and MemPOPs Food Trucks - Metal Museum with a hands-on activity - Live Music - Amurica Photo Booth "I Love Memphis" edition (free photos!) - Antique Car from American Dream Safari and Rockabilly Tours - Giveaways and displays from local attractions and organizations And More - I'll add to this list as I get more details.
