The internet has another great arbitrary food-related holiday today, and it's one I know Memphians can get behind: Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day.

Classic Grilled Cheese from Fuel Food Truck

Yes, Fuel's food truck is back out-and-about in the city! How grand. You can sometimes get avocado and bacon added to this baby.

Famous Grilled Cheese from The Majestic Grille

Fatboy From Uncle Lou's Fried Chicken

I know it seems strange to go to a fried chicken joint and get a sandwich like this—but listen, you can also get fried chicken in addition to the Fatboy because no one's stopping you. It's three pieces of Texas toast layered with four slices of cheese, plus turkey or ham.

Grilled Pimento Cheese Sandwich from Hammer & Ale

Deluxe Grilled Cheese from Bardog

This one has a bunch of meat on it, so it pushes the boundaries of the definition of a grilled cheese...discuss amongst yourselves!

Basically any of them from Say Cheese food truck, paired with tomato soup, of course.

Obviously, Say Cheese knows what's up when it comes to grilled cheese sandwiches in Memphis. Find this local food truck and find happiness. Pictured here is the classic, but you can go for pepperoni, buffalo chicken or any number of variations.

This downtown cafe that's just across from the Tennessee Brewery is crushing it food-wise, from their classic grilled cheese to the occasionally available brisket grilled cheese, I highly recommend you check these guys out for breakfast or lunch.
