Get Crunk With Lord T & Eloise (Giveaway Over)

Memphis' favorite aristocrunk rappers and intergalactic travelers are back for another champagne-soaked show in town, this time at Lafayette's Music Room in Overton Square. They'll perform on Thursday, February 25 starting at 10 p.m. and tickets are $20 (buy here).

If you want to save some money for your next powdered wig or boots (a million dollars just doesn't go as far it used to, amirite?) then I have not one but two ways for you to win a pair of tickets for free.

Update, Feb. 18, 10 a.m.: The ILM blog giveaway is over. Congrats to Katherine from the blog!

Way to win #1: Leave a comment on this blog post telling me your favorite Lord T & Eloise show memory. They've been performing off and on in Memphis since 2006, so there should be some great stories to tell. If you've never been to a Lord T & Eloise show, tell me why you want to go see them.

I'll do a drawing this Thursday, February 18 at 9:30 a.m. and notify the winner by email.

Giveaway over: congrats to Katherine for winning the tickets.

Way to win #2: Lafayette's will give away a limited number of tickets to people who dress up in a Lord-T-&-Eloise-themed costume and post it on social media with the hashtag #LafayettesPickMe. You have to be the one dressed up if you're the one who wants the tickets, and you have to use the hashtag on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

They will choose winners randomly on Monday, February 22. For more info, visit Lafayette's on Facebook.

The following music video, like Lord T & Eloise in general, is probably PG-13.

If you want to learn more about the demigods behind the music, check out my bizarre interview with them here.

I don't have just one, I have so many! My favorite thing about Lord T and Eloise shows is sharing the aristocrunkness with others. I've brought a first timer every time. People can say they know me, but you don't know the real me until you see me drenched in champagne singing into their microphones.

It was the middle of Summer and I had just seen an acoustic, folk duo from Texas at Levitt Shell. The fella I'd recently started dating suggested we go see Lord T & Eloise at Hi Tone later that night. Not being a native Memphian, I was like, "Who the hell is that?" Holy.shit. I did not know what I was getting myself into! Total 180 from the show I had just seen. The music, the lights, the costumes, the props, everyone in the audience running around snotting like baby giraffes from the copious amounts of recreationals consumed. The energy from that show and that audience was unparalleled. I don't consider anyone who hasn't seen Lord T & Eloise a true Memphian. There's nothing else like them.

Ever had one of those nights when you don't want to go out AT ALL, you change your mind last minute and have THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE? Yeah, that was Halloween last year. Going to bed at 10, only to be convinced to throw on a last minute costume, ride downtown and go to the most bizarre/spectacular party of my life with headline entertainment, Lord T & Eloise. It was a night to have your fortune told in the Murica trailer. It was a night to roll in to Raiford's at 3 in the morning. It was a night to end with a few beers while looking over the Mississippi River Bridge. It was a good night.

Lord T & Eloise made me a believer at CMOM 2015. They blew the crowd away & then shared champagne with the crowd.

Favorite moment would have to be the Monster's Ball party at the Cadre Building on Halloween 2014! Getting crunk to Lord T & Eloise while the whole crowd was dressed up was quite the experience! Love them!

Hanging out backstage at the old HiTone with Lord T & Eloise before their epic 2008 Live From Memphis Music Video Showcase after party performance. The "champagne" flows early!
