Go to the Great Wine Performances at Playhouse on the Square (Giveaway Ended)

If you like wine or theatre or trivia, this event is for you. Next Tuesday, August 18, Playhouse on the Square will host the 9th annual Great Wine Performances at its midtown theatre from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. I'm giving away two tickets. (Giveaway Ended)

Grab a friend and stroll around the theatre to ten different wine-tasting tables, each hosted by a full-costumed performer. Answer the actor's questions to win prizes, sip wine, and support Memphis' only professional theatre.

This year's trivia theme is "Which came first - Broadway or Hollywood?"

In order to win a pair of tickets ($100 value) leave me a comment here telling me your favorite Broadway show that was made into a movie...or vice versa.

I'll do a random drawing on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m.  (giveaway ended)

Update: We had a donor offer up a second pair of tickets, so I was able to do two drawings: Congrats to our winners Brooke Dobson and Melissa Russell!

If you didn't win, go ahead and save your spot now. Tickets are $50 in advance or $65 at the door, and you must be 21 to go.

My favorite has to be Evita - only because my 6'8" mountain man fiance can belt out every song and frequently does so on road trips!

The Sound of Music, hands down.  Both the play and the musical are outstanding and have stood the test of time.
