I promise that you won't be bored sitting through the Powerpoint presentations at the second Memphis PechaKucha tonight at Crosstown Arts.

Seven Memphians - Justin Elliott Thompson, Kerry Crawford (that's me!), Shaun Barber, Andrew Parks, Jason Miller, Amelia Carkuff and Joel Halpern - will present lightning fast presentations on the topics of their choosing. Each five minute presentation contains 20 slides that auto-advance every 20 seconds, which means a challenge for the presenter and more interesting, entertaining slides than you ever saw in school.

What: Pecha Kucha Night Vol. 2

Where: Crosstown Arts (427 N. Watkins - look for the giant bicycle wheel sculpture)

When: Doors at 6 p.m., presentations at 7 p.m., tonight, June 21.

Why: Because it's something fun to do. Plus, there will be snacks and drinks.
