Monday News Update: The Grizz, the "New" Whole Foods, and the City's New Bicycle Blog
Happy rainy Monday, Memphis. Here's what you need to know about the Grizzlies, the "new" Whole Foods, and a brand new blog for cyclists and pedestrians:
- Oh, Grizzlies. What else is there to say after another one point loss to the Clippers? The good news is that at 2 - 1 Clippers, the series isn't close to over yet. The Grizz play again tonight at 9:30 p.m. Central. Don't scream at your TV alone - the official watch party is at Celtic Crossing in Cooper Young.
- Congratulations to all of the new University of Memphis graduates! The university graduated 2,321 students over the weekend, its largest class ever.
- The news releases may have said that we're getting a new Whole Foods, but that's only technically true - the East Memphis market is expanding into the bigger space next door to its current location.
- Memphis Cyclists and pedestrians, here's a brand new blog for you.
- Give Pink Palace membership a try for free this summer. All you have to do is sign up online during May, and you'll have a free three-month trial membership to the museum.
- Celebration Station was a mini-golf course and an arcade. Then is was an eyesore. Soon, it's going to be a church.
