Party On Friday, Help Save Memphis' Indoor Trailer Park
Party On Friday, Help Save Memphis' Indoor Trailer Park
Local tour guide / juke joint enthusiast / artist Tad Pierson has helped hundreds of locals and tourists find their way to some of Memphis' great hidden landmarks. Now, it's time to help him save his own.
Tad is in danger of losing his Indoor Trailer Park, the amazing downtown space where he lives, works, wrenches on cars, throws parties and hosts guests.
If you've never seen it, it's like a regular trailer park, if trailer parks were inside. He's circled vintage Airstream trailers around an Astroturf lawn, and - best of all - he'll let you stay overnight in them.
The point is - we need to save the incredible piece of Memphis that Tad has created.
On Friday night, there's going to be a big party at the Indoor Trailer Park.
Starting at 6 p.m., you can:
- Go to a big, fun party at Memphis' only (hell, possibly the world's only) indoor trailer park.
- Buy some art (both Tad's pieces and the works of his friends).
- Book American Dream Safari tours or night stays in the Trailer Park.
- Get your photo taken in Jamie Harmon's Amurica photo booth.
If you can't make it out Friday night, you'll have a second chance on Saturday morning. Starting at 10 a.m., there will be a big community yard sale in the Trailer Park. Or, you could just donate a little bit of cash to help save Tad's amazing space.
