Made in Memphis: Miss Mildred's Wicked Vanilla
Made in Memphis: Miss Mildred's Wicked Vanilla
While I usually go to Muddy's Bake Shop for already-made desserts, the last time I was there, I picked up something that's the perfect addition to treats made at home.
This little brown bottle of ridiculously good-smelling vanilla extract is handmade in Memphis by Courtney Shove (aka Miss Mildred). I've used it in cookies and a buttercream icing, and so far, the only thing wicked about it is how rich and delicious it is.
You can pick up your own bottle at Muddy's Bake Shop. They're $6.50 each.

Thanks for the shout-out! Glad you like it. I'll be bottling more extract over Thanksgiving week ... just in time for those looking for stocking stuffers or coworker gifts.

I've known for a long-time how talented the Shoves were about making extracts. Courtney comes from a long line of excellence in this (and other) categories.
