These super bright eighth graders were celebrating Literacy Day by listening to different local speakers (including me) talking about their relationships with reading. I'll post more details when I have them. - Ahem. Memphis Madness (aka the start of that most wonderful time of the year, basketball season) is now nine days away. It's a free, general admission game at the FedEx Forum on Friday, Oct. 14. If you want a seat, get there early - this game fills up to the point that the fire marshal gets involved.
