Meet Memphians no. 273, 274 and 275 in the 365 Memphians series: Derek Jayne is possibly the most well known door guy in Memphis. You can find him at shows, checking your ID, taking your cover, and making sure nobody causes any trouble. He was photographed at the Cove. Bennett Mercer is a junior at Memphis University School. I met him when I spoke to his leadership class last week. He's extremely bright and inquisitive and one of those kids that will for sure grow up to be a model citizen. Chuck Vicious is a local musician and bartender. He was photographed at the Lamplighter on Madison, where you can find him slinging beer and making chili most week nights.
