Memphis Mystery Train Set List: Sept. 15, 2011

Today's edition of the Memphis Mystery Train was possibly the most fun I've ever had on the radio. Here's why: 1. I not only played a Beyonce cover, but I managed to work R. Kelly's classic "Sex in the Kitchen" into the mix. 2. The Shondes from Brooklyn, New York came into the studio, fresh off of their show at the Hi-Tone. They talked about Memphis, Brooklyn, and their brand new record, "Searchlights", which comes out later this month. 3. I convinced Fury from the Shondes to read my all-time favorite PSA (helper monkeys) on air. You're pretty much the coolest person I know. That Pomplamoose song made my day.
