Today's winner is getting one of my favorite books about Memphis history - the first Ask Vance book. Historian Vance Lauderdale writes a regular column and blog for Memphis Magazine and the Memphis Flyer. His column is sort of like a historical Ann Landers - people send in their questions about local mysteries and Vance tracks down the answers. His first book is a compilation of his columns. The second Ask Vance book, which features his columns from 2003 through 2011 comes out next week, and there's a special book signing and discussion at the Booksellers at Laurelwood.
