Try Black Magic, Find a New Job and Visit the U of M Athletic Hall of Fame

365 Memphians, Angie Vandenbergh
Angie Vandenbergh was all smiles (and maybe just a little bit of adrenaline) after rappelling down the side of White Station Tower on Saturday. She raised more than $1000 to participate in the annual Over the Edge event, which is a fund raiser for the Special Olympics. When she's not scaling buildings, Angie is the web manager for Crye-Leike. In other news: - Good news, Tigers fans - the University of Memphis' brand new Anfernee Hardaway Athletic Hall of Fame is opening today. The museum will house such artifacts from the U of M's athletic history as bowl game trophies, jerseys, photos and equipment used by Tiger greats. There's an opening ceremony featuring the museum's namesake tonight at 5 p.m. - Attention, beer lovers - the guys at FuzzyBrew are reporting that Ghost River's special fall brew, Black Magic, is available now in kegs and growlers. It'll be in restaurants soon. - The Booksellers at Laurelwood (formerly Davis-Kidd) are working on revamping their cafe (formerly Bronte). Take this short survey and let them know what you'd like to see in their new restaurant. - I've got a few job listings for you guys today: the Brooks Museum is looking for a Grants Manager, Chez Philippe is looking for a part-time host, and the Church Health Center has a few assistant positions open.
