Shelby Farms Greenline Bike Rentals, Cheap MATA Rides and an Adorable Elk Baby
When he's not working as the PR director at the Church Health Center , Marvin Stockwell makes sure Memphians of all ages get their rock'n'roll allotment through his band, Pezz, and his work on the Rock'n'Romp board.
In other news:
- Stop whatever it is that you're doing and go look at the precious pictures of the Memphis Zoo's brand new baby elk calf. He's so knobby and adorable, and I just want to watch him stumble around all afternoon. You hear that, Zoo? Video. I want video.
- Today is a high-Ozone day, and while that sucks for anyone that's planning to be outside for long stretches of time, it means that rides on all MATA buses and trolleys are only .25 all day long.
- If you want to ride the Shelby Farms Greenline, but don't have wheels, you can now rent bikes from Greenline Rentals at Shelby Farms. Rental rates start at $12 per bike for two hours.
- Is there anything that Justin Timberlake doesn't do? The Millington-born singer / actor / Tequila maker / golf course owner / restauranteur apparently now owns part of MySpace. Now, if only he would agree to be in Opera Memphis' production of "Die Fledermaus."
