The Majestic Turns Five, Summer Movies Come to the Orpheum and Opera Memphis Wants JT

365 Memphians - Evan Potts
Meet Evan Potts, friend, basketball fan and bartender. I recommend ordering one of his fantastic whiskey sours next time you're at the Cove. In other news: - The Orpheum has announced their annual summer movie line up. The films start on June 3rd with a screening of Breakfast at Tiffany's. This year, there's also going to be a series of Memphis films shown in the historic theatre, including Craig Brewer's "Hustle and Flow" on July 1st. - Happy 5th birthday to the Majestic Grille. I raise my strawberry basil martini to you! - Opera Memphis is trying to recruit Justin Timberlake to play the lead role in their upcoming production of Der Fledermaus. Right now, the campaign is taking the form of a Facebook petition, but they've got hope that JT will see it and give opera a try. - You've now got one day left to submit your mural ideas for the I Love Memphis mural design contest. All entries must be emailed to [email protected] by 5 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. For full contest guidelines, go here.
