Aaron Shafer (photographed at the I Love Memphis mural launch) is the guy behind Skatelife Memphis. They're the ones responsible for the skate ramps at the Greenlaw Community Center and for the coming-soon skate park at Tobey Park in Midtown.
In other news:
- While you're out tonight enjoying this extremely perfect weather, take note - today had a record low temperature.
- Odessa, Broad Ave.'s tiny gallery / dance party space, is in dire financial straights. They need to raise enough money to cover the cost of rent and utilities so that they can keep shows that have already been booked for May, June and July on the schedule. To find out exactly what they need and how you can help, go here.
- Congratulations to Le Bonheur - they were ranked for the first time in the US News and World Report's Best Children's Hospitals list.
- The Great Food Truck Race (of Food Network fame) is going to be passing through Memphis tomorrow. I'm not sure where exactly the trucks will be, but I'll keep you posted as I find out. My guess is that they'll be somewhere downtown or in Midtown.

Great Food Truck Race isn't TLC - it's Food Network. Which you even linked to :)
