A Missing Bluesman, AutoZone's PETA Ranking and a Jay Reatard Reissue
Emily Hefley and Rebecca Cochran were photographed in the rehearsal studio at the Evergreen Theatre, where they were practicing for Project:Motion's new show, "Frame By Frame". They teamed up to choreograph a group piece based on the great ladies of country music (think Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline). The show runs through May 29th.
In other news:
- One of Beale Street's most constant ambassadors has gone missing. Trumpeter Rudy Williams has been missing since Saturday night. According to his daughter, he left work on Beale, came home, went for a walk and hasn't been seen since. If you've got any information about Rudy's whereabouts, please contact the Beale Street Merchant's Association.
- Congratulations to AutoZone Park - the minor league stadium ranked no. 6 in PETA's list of most vegetarian-friendly minor league ballparks. Once again, proof that AutoZone Park's food is quite possibly the greatest ballpark food on earth.
- Goner Records has released a reissue of the late, great Jay Reatard's first record. The record is on 12" 120 gram vinyl, and it includes a bonus LP of extremely early cassette recordings. It's on sale now at Goner Records in Cooper Young or online for $19.99.

I just searched the local news websites, and no mention of Mr. Rudy. WTF?

I saw on Paul Ryburns blog yesterday the same thing about Autozone being ranked #6 for vegetarian options and its not true. I went to Peta's website and they arent on the list at all? Its just has major league ballparks on their list. Wonder where this stat came from?
Anyway, I do love your blog and read it and catch up every couple of days! LOVE the I love Memphis mural in Cooper Young! Knew you had to be connected to it somehow. :)
