Erik is the guy in charge of Indie Memphis, Memphis' own annual independent film festival. He's in Austin this week scouting films for this year's Indie Memphis festival.

In other news: - Last week, Memphis lost one of its finest citizens. John "Bad Dog" McCormack was a DJ on Rock 103 who was constantly positive, hilarious and willing to help others. He died last week after a long battle with leukemia. His memorial service is today at 2 p.m., and it will be live streamed on wreg.com. - If you want to see Opera Memphis' production of "The Barber of Seville" for free, here's an easy way: donate 10" of your hair to Locks for Love, and you'll score a free ticket to the opera. - Congrats to the Tigers on their 12th seed position in the NCAA tournament. They play their first game against 5th-seeded Arizona on Friday at 1:45 p.m.
