Sam graduated from White Station High two years ago and is now a jazz performance major at the University of Texas at Austin. He was kind enough to let me take his picture five minutes after I met him. Thanks, Sam!

In other news:

- Basketball fans, it is that most anticipated day of the season, the day when houses are divided and I'm not allowed to speak to my UT-graduate brother. The Tigers take on the University of Tennessee (or, as it was so eloquently put on the Goner Boards, "that orange tanned freak and his merry bunch of felons") at Knoxville tonight. The game is on ESPN 2 at 8 p.m.

- Long-time Midtown French restaurant Paulette's is leaving Overton Square and re-opening on Mud Island. According to the Goner boards, a Happy Mexican is moving into the Square.

I love Paulette's! Why is it moving to Mud Island? I find mid town more accessible!
