Slightly embarrassing confession: at beer bust, you can get $5 all-you-can drink PBR, $3 shots and $1 cheese slices. Until yesterday, I didn't know that they meant slices of cheese pizza. I thought they were talking about Kraft singles or something. In other news: - Big congratulations to Al Bell, who's the latest recipient of the Grammy's Trustee Award. It's the highest honor a non-performer can receive. As the former head of Stax Records, Bell is more than deserving of the award. - Look out! Memphis may get one of those elusive white Christmases that people outside of the South are always talking about. Artspace Memphis is taking a survey to find out about the Memphis area's art needs, and I'm doing my annual readers' survey to get feedback on the blog. - There's going to be another IgniteMemphis event on February 24th. IgniteMemphis is an evening of 5-minute, 20-slide presentations on all sorts of things, given by anyone who's willing. They're already taking proposals for the upcoming event.
