Memphis Project 365: Days 308 and 309
Since day 308 fell on Nov. 6th, I thought it was appropriate to take a picture of Nov. 6th St. downtown. The one way street (which is really more of an alley) commemorates the day in 1934 that Memphis mayor E.H. "Boss" Crump voted against private utilities in Memphis. You can read more about it here.
One of the handmade flower table decorations at the Memphis Farmers Market's 5th annual Harvest Dinner. The dinner, which featured food from a handful of local restaurants, celebrates the end of the farmers market season. All of the food was incredible (especially the polenta from Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen), and the music, auction and people were top notch.
