One Pledge, Two Screenings, and Memphis Madness Streaming
I spent some quality time at the P&H with my book and a cup of Shiner last night. With the exception of trivia Tuesdays, the P&H is fairly quiet on weeknights.
In other news:
- If you're not going to be able to make it to FedEx Forum for Memphis Madness on Friday, it's going to be available for streaming. If you are planning to go to the Forum, know that it's going to be a madhouse and plan accordingly. Because it's free and general admission seating, plan to get there before the doors open at 6:30 p.m.
- It's WKNO pledge week. If you love public media in Memphis, you should kick a little bit of cash their way.
- There are two film screenings tonight. Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" is showing at the Brooks Museum of Art at 7 p.m. ($12). At the Civil Rights Museum, there will be a free screening of "Rosie the Riveter", a documentary about the real life Rosies that worked during World War II. It starts at 6 p.m.

Careful with your purse at P&H. A guy ran in and stole mine there.
