In other news:
- There aren't going to be any fireworks at Tom Lee Park this year. Instead, they're moving the downtown celebration to Handy Park on Beale St. For other fireworks displays around town, check this helpful list.
- The Odessa Art Space on Broad Ave. has officially launched their Kickstarter page. They're trying to raise $4,000 to make improvements to their building so that it can be used as an art gallery and performance space. They're offering some incentives for people that plegde, too. If you pledge $50 or more, you get free admission to all Odessa events for a year. If you pledge $100 or more, you get free admission to all events and a limited edition print from one of the Odessa artists.
- There's a lot going on in Memphis tonight. It's Cooper Young Night Out, which means that the businesses and shops in Cooper Young will stay open late and have specials. Tonight is also Community Climb night at the Bridges Center (anyone can climb the rock wall at Bridges for $15 at 6 p.m.). There's also a rooftop party at the Peabody Hotel and beer bust at the Poplar Lounge.
