A few weeks ago, there was a conversation on Twitter about wanting some Memphis-themed jewelry. After a little bit of back and forth, local maker Kathy said that she would be happy to make some Memphis necklaces.  I picked up my finished product from Kathy today - it's a flat, 1.5 inch piece of sterling silver in the shape of Tennessee with a heart and a "901" marking Memphis' corner. If you want one, you can order through her Web site, Pangaea Designs. In other news: - Voting is now open for Skatelife Memphis' shot at a $250,000 Pepsico grant. If they win, they'll use the money to build a skate park in Binghampton. You can vote for them daily. - On Thursday, 10 Memphis restaurants will be donating a portion of their lunch and dinner profits to the National Foundation for Transplants.  Restaurant Iris, Circa, Interim, Pa Pa Pia and Equestria (and a few others) are on the list of participating restaurants. - If you didn't get an I Love Memphis shirt (there are just a few left), you can pick up one of 901 Love's brand new tees. I'm a big fan of the "Habitual Smoker" and "When You're Bad..." shirts.
