Nice people of Memphis, I need your help. It's pledge drive week at WEVL (Memphis' only volunteer radio station), and I've been issued a challenge. Last year, Craig Brewer managed to raise a record-setting $1,000 for the station when he was a guest on the Memphis Mystery Train. I've been challenged to beat that record. I've got a fairly solid plan of attack involving several methods designed to get you to become a WEVL member. Part one of the plan: My ukulele. I'll have my ukulele in the studio with me in the morning. I've learned the pledge drive theme music. The person who pledges the largest amount of money to WEVL between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. will get the dessert item of their choice personally delivered to them by me, anywhere in the greater Memphis area on Thursday afternoon.
