I was invited to ARTjamN in Cooper Young a few nights ago to do a painting session. None of the guided paintings suited me, so I put on my headphones, squeezed some acrylic onto a paper plate and made this little...well, I can't quite call it a masterpiece. I like it, though. In other news: - Goner Records has released the Sivad Scrapbook, which is a paperback memorial to Memphis horror host Sivad (think Elvira, but a guy). All of the 500 copies are lovingly numbered and full of research by Jim Cole. - ArtsMemphis launched their brand new baby, ArtsMemphisTV on Monday. The crew from Live From Memphis filmed the episodes, which feature artists of all kinds from Memphis. Check out the installments on Tommy Kha, Greely Myatt, and Yvonne Bobo. - Downtown's Local Gastropub is now open for lunch. Hooray!
