Happy weekend, y'all. Here are my top-five, all-time, desert-island picks for good times in Memphis this weekend: 1. FailFest, LaunchMemphis, Saturday, 10:30 a.m., free FailFest is a high-level internet party for web developers, designers, user experience geeks, social media people, and programmers. It's going to a be day of super casual time to work, meet other web people, drink beer and play some PowerPoint Karaoke. If you're planning to come, please register on the FailFest site. 2. AbunDANCE: Joyful Noise, Playhouse on the Square, Sunday, 1:30 Ballet Memphis will be performing AbunDANCE: Joyful Noise at Playhouse on the Square on Sunday at 2 p.m. After the show, there's going to be a cocktail party with the ballet company. If you haven't had a chance to check out Ballet Memphis or the new Playhouse space, this would be a great introduction to both. 3. Akron/Family with Warpaint, HiTone Cafe, Friday, 10 p.m., $10 Akron/Family's music is tough to label, but this indie band's show is going to be a lot of fun. I'm really excited about opening act Warpaint - they're from L.A., and they've got cool, growly girl vocals over indie pop. They sound a little bit like the Ettes. Anyway - the doors open at 9, but the show probably won't start until at least 10 p.m. 4. Trolley Tour, South Main Arts District, Friday, 6 p.m., Free It's still a little chilly out, but I can tell that Memphians are ready to pretend it's spring. One of the best ways to do that is to get to Trolley Tour tonight on South Main. The trolleys are free tonight, and many of the bars, restaurants, shops and galleries in South Main will be open late and have specials. 5.  Soup Sunday, FedEx Forum, Sunday, 11 .m., $20 The annual Soup Sunday to benefit Youth Villages is this weekend at the FedEx Forum. For $20, you can sample soup, desserts and bread from 40 Memphis restaurants. Apparently, there are going to be eight different kinds of gumbo. Whatever you do this weekend, have a great time.
