My scavenger hunt list called for a photo of a live buffalo, and there's only one place in Memphis that has them for the photographing - Shelby Farms. Shelby Farms is amazing. The urban park has trails, a lake, playgrounds, paddle boats and horseback riding. It's the home of Starry Nights (an annual drive-through holiday light show). Most importantly for the scavenger hunt, though, the park is home to a herd of American Bison. You can't get very close to them, but that's them, chilling in their big field just off of the Walnut Grove entrance to the park. I highly recommend checking out the park, running or biking the trails, flying a kite or adopting one of the buffalo. Go There: Shelby Farms Park (901) 382-2249
