Star and Micey Release Their Debut Record

Star and Micey Release Their Debut Record

Star and Micey
Star and Micey are releasing their brand spankin' new debut record at Neil's on Saturday night. The record is being released by legendary local wonder label, Ardent. Check out this video of the band talking about what it's like to record at Ardent: Their self-titled debut record is solid. Some tracks (like "Nelson") sound a little bit like another Memphis favorite, Jump Back Jake.  Star and Micey sound like they would be at home on a Zach Braff soundtrack. The record has a lot of songs about love and the girl(s) that got away. I wish the band had included a few more upbeat, non-breakup tracks, because I wanted to hear what else they could do and listen to them being just a little more creative. Star and Micey - Nelson See them live: Neil's Saturday, Oct 17 Free Show w/ Jeremy Stanfill and Dave Cousar opening and Ryan Peel backing the band on drums
