Tonight In Memphis

It's Monday, and I know a lot of you are still trying to recover from one of the most jam-packed weekends of the fall, but that shouldn't be an excuse to stay in tonight. Here's what's going on in Memphis this evening: - Jim Dickinson Memorial Folk Festival at the Levitt Shell, 7 p.m. The local music community is gathering at the Levitt Shell in Overton Park tonight to celebrate the life of the late Jim Dickinson. Amy LaVere, Jimbo Mathus, Reba Russell, Keith Sykes, Sid Selvidge ,Steve Selvidge and Paul Taylor are playing, and the show is free. - MPACT Memphis Happy Hour, Hard Rock Cafe 6 p.m. Come celebrate the end of your workday at the Hard Rock on Beale St. with the cool kids from MPACT Memphis. (This is where I'll be!) -  Teacher's Night Out at CMOM, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. The Children's Museum is hosting Teacher's Night Out tonight. It's an opportunity for teachers to get together and learn about some new educational programs and cultural resources. There are also going to prizes and appetizers. Anyone know of anything else going on in town tonight? Add it in the comments.
