I've mentioned it here before, but the brand new Big Star box set is being released on Sept. 15. That would be next Tuesday, for those of you without calendars handy. I know that's a long time for some of you to wait, so here's a special treat. NPR is doing an exclusive first listen for the set. You can stream the entire first disc of "Keep an Eye on the Sky" for free. Disc one includes many of Big Star's most notable works (Thirteen, In the Street, Ballad of El Goodo and Back of a Car are all there, some with alternate versions), so you should be able to get a decent idea of what the rest of the set will sound like.
