Places Open in Memphis on New Year’s Day 2020

We are almost to 2020! Here’s a running list of places open on New Year’s Day, which I’ll continue to update.

If you know of another place that will be open on New Year’s Day in Memphis or have a special event or brunch, please leave the info in the comments section. For a list of New Year’s Eve events, click here.

Here’s the list of places open in Memphis on New Year’s Day 2020:

In addition to

– 3rd & Court Diner is open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

– Aldo’s Midtown and Downtown are open regular hours.

– Bardog is open regular hours.

– Bayou Memphis will be open regular hours.

– Blind Bear will host a New Year’s Day Roaring 20s Brunch.

– Celtic Crossing opens at 6:30 a.m. for soccer watching with a limited brunch menu.

– Golden India is open regular hours.

– The Green Beetle is open regular hours.

– All The Huey’s are open regular hours.

– Lafayette’s Music Room will host a New Year’s Day Brunch with Joe Restivo. 

– LBOE is open regular hours.

– Local on the Square is open regular hours.

– Memphis Pizza Cafe in Overton Square is open regular hours.

Midtown Crossing Grill will host a Hangover Brunch from 11 a.m – 3 p.m.

– Momma’s is open regular hours.

– Patrick’s will be open and offering a free serving of black-eyed peas to everybody.

– Railgarten will host a New Year’s Day brunch buffet with hydration therapy IVs available.

– Slider Inn Midtown and Downtown are open regular hours.

– The Wing Guru’s two locations will be open regular hours.

– Young Avenue Deli is open regular hours on New Year’s Day.

A few other things to do on New Year’s Day:

The Second Line will host a Day of Warming with hot breakfast for people in need, and will be accepting donations of coats, jackets, socks, etc. Read more details here and sign up to volunteer here.

The 43rd Annual Ski Freeze allows water-skiers, wakeboarders and tubers to take a short pull on the Wolf River Channel for a $30 donation to the Dream Factory of Memphis.

Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club hosts a Polar Bear Ride in the morning.

Both Shelby Forest and T.O. Fuller State Park host free guided New Year’s Day hikes. Click those links for details.

And you can recycle your Christmas tree at the Agricenter International from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

    Is anything on Beale St. open on Mew Years Day 2020? We are in town for the Liberty Bowl and our Beatles St trip got rained out today. Students are disappointed and we’re trying to salvage some of our itinerary. Any insight would be appreciated!
