In business since 2021 (the brick and mortar opened November 2022, but the professional gift wrapping service started in 2021 while she was working out of her home), you may have met owner Vanessa West at one of her gift wrapping pop-ups around the city (I first met her via her pop-up in The Shops of Saddle Creek).
Now, you can shop her unique offering of artisanal, sustainable gifts (think wooden blocks, dip-dyed handmade candles, recycled steel water bottles), children's books, and artisanal jewelry lines (some of which are made locally) almost daily in her cute boutique.
The Cozy Rental Space

Why Chickasaw Oaks for your first location?
Aside from the cute as a button interior, the market is mostly occupied by other locally owned businesses; being a part of that community is empowering as a new small business.
What inspired the concept of the gift shop?
I've always wanted to open a shop filled with items of how I like to shop for others - with unique one-of-a-kind gifts.
What do you feel sets Avenue Wrapping apart from other gift shops?
Our selection of products from other small businesses and the professional gift wrapping service are two of the things that set us apart from other gift shops.
What’s your favorite part about owning Avenue Wrapping?
Owning Avenue Wrapping allows me to connect with people in the community as well as gives me the opportunity to share quality undiscovered brands.
Any fun upcoming events we should know about?
We have a fun back to school event planned in July where you can get custom pencils made coinciding with a workshop where an artist is going to teach us how to paint our own custom sneakers.
