Eat Dessert First With Kaye’s Pints and Scoops, A Locally Sourced Small Batch Creamery

Ice cream is always a good idea, but this is coming from a girl whose grandmother always keeps a tub stocked in the freezer. But it’s an even sweeter idea when we’re talking about Kaye’s Pints and Scoops. Who knew so much flavor and deliciousness could be contained in a bright pink pint?

The small batch creamery, created by Kiamesha Wilson, came to be during the pandemic. She would make homemade ice cream for her close friends and family, but her creations weren’t something she could keep to herself. With the encouragement of her loved ones, Kiamesha decided to launch Kaye’s Pints and Scoops as we know and love it today! Her creamy and delicious ice cream has no artificial flavors or colors and the ingredients are sourced from regional farmers and local makers.

I stopped by the creamery to chat with Kiamesha and pick up a pint (or two). Like I said, ice cream is my favorite dessert ever. It’s cliché, but I felt like a kid in a candy shop as I browsed all the yumminess. The flavors change as the seasons do, so I was excited to still get a taste of the holidays. It was so hard to not grab one of each ice cream.

I settled on Gingerbread & Creme which is vanilla ice cream layered with Muddy’s Bake Shop’s reindeer cake and a caramel ribbon. And the Carrot Spice Cake which is a maple ice cream base with Muddy’s Bake Shop’s carrot cake. Other flavors include Sea Salt Chocolate, Brown Butter Pecan, Vanilla Brownie Sundae, Vegan Cookie Butter and many more.

Stay tuned for spring and summer flavors! Her best sellers, strawberry and lemon ice creams, will be available soon. Pro-tip: With strawberry ice cream being so popular, and peak strawberry season lasting only a couple months, it’s best to stock up sooner than later. I’ll definitely have to grab a few after hearing the rave reviews of the fruity flavor.
