Experience a Cultural Immersion at Asian Night Market

Mark your calendars! The Asian Night Market is coming back for its second year but this time at a much bigger location on July 20, 2024.

The response for the first Asian Night Market last year was unprecedented. People PACKED Crosstown Concourse eager for this event making it too crowded. Great news is that this year's event will move to Tiger Lane.

Organizers said this year they're coming back "not just bigger, but better, with more space, more vendors, and an even wider variety of authentic Asian cuisine."

Expect more space, improved parking, more vendors and flavors, cultural performances. and activities.*

Tickets will be required for entrance this year but parking will be free. Kids ten years and younger are free. Early bird tickets are on sale for $10 now until March 31. Afterwards, tickets increase to $12.51 then $14.64 at the door. That's with fees included which explains the very specific change.

The event, hosted by the Vietnamese American Community in Memphis, aims to showcase the vibrant Asian culture, diverse cuisine, and entrepreneurial endeavors within our community.

Food is a huge piece of street markets. The festival brings together a variety of dishes featuring a variety of Asian cultures: Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, China, and Korea. That includes savory food, desserts, and drinks.

Build your perfect Memphis meal:

I love to eat so if I were to have only one meal left.. I’m going all out. I’d start with an app of Gumbo Fries from Blue City Cafe or Bayou Fries from Chef Tam, wings from Good Fortune or Central’s (honey gold and Jamaican Jerk), potato salad from Fat Larry’s, side of bbq spaghetti from Bar-B-Q Shop, and fried okra from Soul Fish. All paired with a Beale Street Brewing Space Age Sippin’.

Your most memorable Memphis moment:

College GameDay on Beale Street. That was an electric and perfect morning. I was still working in news then and was able to take it in up close and on the stage at some points. The fun and joy of everyone down there that morning is unbeatable.
