5 Reasons To Shop At Memphis College of Art's Holiday Bazaar
Ed. Note: Memphis College of Art's Holiday Bazaar is this weekend, and supporting local artists is more important than ever. Plus, you can knock some holiday shopping out before Black Friday, so it's a win-win. Melissa Farris from MCA has graciously provided us with a few unique reasons to stop by the Bazaar this Friday and Saturday.
This weekend is the 67th Annual Holiday Bazaar and Fundraiser at the Memphis College of Art. Shop all day on Saturday in Rust Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., or grab a ticket to the exclusive preview party on Friday night.
Here are five reasons you need to shop at the Bazaar this year.
1. Nothing says "I love you" like a handmade gift, but not even mom wants your "grown up" macaroni art.
Leave it to the professionals. Warm her hands and heart with a beautiful ceramic coffee mug made by MCA's Head of Ceramics, Leandra Urrutia, and a silk batik scarf from Phyllis Boger.

2. Knock out your whole Christmas list in one stop.
We have gifts for kids from one to ninety two, from adorable stuffed toys by Pink Cheeks Studio to the masterfully nostalgic paintings of Joseph Holseapple, and Baby Creep by Nikkilla Carrol to "Big Girl Panties" from the Cry Baby Club.

3. Who says diamonds are a girl's best friend? Get her a piece of wearable art that's as unique as she is.
Is she nuts for avocado toast? How about teeny avo earrings at Funlola's Workshop? Would she prefer a bit of sparkle that marries form and function? Don't forget to check out pins from Pretty Useful Co.

4. MCA loves Memphis, and Memphis loves MCA.
Grab a limited edition MCA t-shirt, embrace your "inner memphis" with Eso Tolson, or send your love Memphis-style with stationery and wrapping paper from Emily Glenn Paper, Patterns and Designs.

5. You presence and the presents you purchase will bring much-needed holiday cheer to our hearts.
You can also help us give as many scholarships to our current students as possible. Seventy-percent (70%!) of proceeds from art sales go directly to the artist in our creative family. The rest goes to MCA's scholarship fund. Thank you for supporting MCA.
