Tonight's Plans: Carriage Rides and Charlie Chaplin at the Brooks
The Brooks Museum is offering two fun, non-holiday-themed activities tonight, one indoors and one outdoors.
Tonight, the Brooks Museum is hosting two fun, family-friendly events. From 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., they'll have horse-drawn carriage rides through Overton Park. The rides cost $15 per carriage (which can hold 4-5 people, depending on the size of the people) and last about 20 minutes. My friend Andria Lisle, who works for the Brooks, described the rides as "really pretty", and mentioned that the carriages have plenty of warm blankets in them.
If you'd prefer to stay indoors, the museum is also showing Charlie Chaplin's silent comedy "City Lights" in their downstairs theatre at 7:30 p.m. Before the movie, you can drink hot chocolate and sew felt mustaches in the lobby. Tickets to the film / mustache making party are $5.
